The services offered by the International Welcome Center cover:
for International Students:
- The provision of information in the internet together with the sending of information about the University and the City of Osnabrück
- The designation of a central contact person responsible both for dealing with enquiries and for coordinating contact with other contact persons
- Support with the dispatching of formalities prior to arrival in Osnabrück and with the search for suitable accommodation (for exchange students and students with scholarships)
- Collection service from Osnabrück main railway station prior to the start of the Welcome Week
- Welcome Week: Support and when necessary personal assistance when dealing with formalities and every day matters at the beginning of each student’s stay in Osnabrück and when dealing with other contact persons at the University of Osnabrück
- Guided tour of the city, familiarization with the local area and the University
- International cultural program
- International converstion groups

- Tutorial program in the student residences
- Intercultural mentoring program (imos) for international first-year students
