Teaching Certificate for Vocational Schools
This program allows students to earn a teaching certificate that will make them eligible to teach their chosen subject area and their elected subject at vocational schools.
The following professional subject areas can be studied at the University of Osnabrück:
Teachers in the areas of health sciences instruct potential office assistants for doctors, dentists, and veterinarians, as well as sales employees for pharmaceutical companies. Cosmetology graduates teach cosmetics and hairdressing. Health care instructors work primarily at vocational schools teaching students who want to be orderlies in senior citizens’ homes, therapeutic clinics, or other social institutions. In addition, it is possible to work at schools that prepares students for medical careers, but do not participate in the dual system (orderlies, children’s orderlies, caregiving for new mothers).
Teachers at vocational schools also provide instruction in the elective field (such as German or mathematics).
