The Dean’s Office (Dekanat)
The School Advisory Board appoints the members of each Dean’s Office. Members are the Dean, at least one student dean, and three others.
Each Dean’s Office is in charge of its School and is responsible for carrying out the decisions of its school advisory board. It is responsible for all of the School’s affairs, unless otherwise determined by the laws of the State of Lower Saxony. The Dean’s Office makes suggestions to the Presidential Board regarding the organization and structure of a School.

Conference of Deans (Dekanekonferenz)
All Deans are members of the Conference of Deans. The group meets at least once every quarter of a year to make decisions regarding the operation of the School, especially

the budget,

establishing goals in cooperation with the Ministry,

the structure of the University,

measures for evaluating achievements,

the introduction, alteration, or closure of individual programs.
