Semester fee for exchange students

Like all other students, exchange students from partner universities of Osnabrück University must also pay a semester fee each semester.

However, the fee they are required to pay is slightly lower because they do not need to pay any tuition/administration fees.
In winter semester 2013/14, exchange students were required to pay a semester fee of € 201,15, which was composed as follows:

Contribution to Osnabrück Student Services: € 55,00

Contribution to student self-governance: € 146.15*

*A fee of € 135.92 for the “bus/train semester ticket” is included in this figure. The semester ticket enables you to use buses in and around Osnabrück, many regional trains run by Deutsche Bahn, and trains provided by Nordwestbahn and Westfalenbahn for free.
