Summer Schools

Every year at the beginning of July, the “Osnabrück International Summer Schools” commence at Osnabrück University1. The program offers a unique combination of different specialized courses, a “taster course” on German language and culture and a varied accompanying program:

The specialized program is held by a team of renowned Osnabrück and international lecturers. The German course is organized by Osnabrück University’s Language Center. The recreational activities held within the cultural program are run by Osnabrück tutors who are there throughout the program to assist the international students.

Who can take part?

International students from all over the world. However, a few places are also reserved for Osnabrück University students on each program. Since all of the courses are taught in English, a level of B1 or B2 is required, depending on the course. Participants must be over the age of 18.

How much does it cost?

Students who are not enrolled at Osnabrück University pay a fee of € 1,490. This price includes the course fee, accommodation, the entire cultural and recreational program, health insurance, liability insurance, a City of Osnabrück bus pass and a reduction for using Osnabrück University’s canteens.

Osnabrück University students are granted a generous “home discount” – they only need to pay for the cultural and recreational program (for more information, please send an e-mail to: summerschools@uos.de).

How and when can I apply?

Candidates can apply for a summer school any time from October to February. Students who are not enrolled at Osnabrück University can apply online. Osnabrück University students can request the application form by e-mail (summerschools.uos.de).
