| Beschreibung: | The problem of classifying the modular representations of a finite group has a long history, going back at least 50 years. I will give a quick survey, discussing the representation type of a group algebra. Then I will present a stratification of the category of modular representations which builds on homological and geometric methods. This is based on joint work with Dave Benson and Srikanth Iyengar. |
