| Beschreibung: | There is a need to identify novel methods for renewable energy production in order to replace finite fossil sources and to minimize the negative environmental and social impact associated with its use. What role can biology play in such methods? I will present an overview of criteria and issues associated with current and conceptual methods, including a comparison of terrestrial vs. aquatic systems. Thereafter, I will present results from studies aimed at understanding underlying issues, and identifying potential solutions, for biological H2-production. |
