Income Tax Card
Almost all jobs require you to have an income tax card (
Lohnsteuerkarte). You can get one from the
Finanzamt (Tax Office), Süsterstr. 48. Exceptions are made for the so-called ”400 euro jobs.” If you earn less than 400 Euro per month, you do not need to pay any income tax. However, please note that you must still have an income tax card, in order to report your job.
