There are thirteen voting members of the School Advisory Board (Fachbereichsrat), who are elected from each representative group. The Board makes decisions regarding significant issues in research and instruction. It establishes the rules of each School, especially examination rules, and provides the Presidential Board with opinions on the introduction, closure, and significant alterations in programs.
It establishes the rules for PhD programs and makes suggestions for the appointment of junior professors. It is also empowered to elect the Equal Opportunity Officer for each School.
