The 600-square-meter Manfred Horstmann International Meeting House offers ten apartments of various sizes, with a total of 25 beds.

All apartments are equipped with toilet and shower, cooking facilities, telephone, and television. Dishes, bed linens, and towels are provided by the guest house. There are washing machines for common use. The apartment is cleaned once a week. The large garden is open to all house residents.
On the ground floor there are a conference room and two additional rooms. They are especially meant to serve as meeting facilities for international encounters as well as for receptions or conventions. In this area Internet access is availavle via W-LAN.

Please note that the whole guest house is a non –smoking area. You are welcome to use the winter garden as a smoking room.

Architecture
The University of Osnabrück Guest House, which is open to international scholars as well as grant recipients, has its headquarters in a mansion built in 1911 by the architect Gustav Majewski on Lürmannstraße 33. The stately home, with its preserved Art Nouveau touches, was renovated in 1995-96 by the Studentenwerk Osnabrück (student service organizations) for use by the University. It opened as a guesthouse in June 1996. The purchase, renovation, and rebuilding of the guesthouse were all achieved thanks to support from the State and Federal government as well as considerable donations from the City of Osnabrück, regional businesses, and employees of the University. The house is run by the Studentenwerk Osnabrück.

Location
The special charm of the guest house is not only due to its architecture, but to its location as well: it is just a few minutes from the city center and at the same time borders directly on one of the loveliest parks in Osnabrück, known as the Westerberg.

Name
The University of Osnabrück Senate decided to name the guest house after the founding rector and long-time president of the university, Prof. Dr. Manfred Horstmann.
