Living in Osnabrück
Osnabrück, which has around 160,000 inhabitants, is the third largest city in Lower Saxony. The image of the 1,200 year-old diocesan town is strongly shaped by the 20,000 students of the University and University of Applied Sciences. The medieval old town with its restored timber-framed houses sets a unique atmosphere for gastronomy and the art trade. Only a few steps away, modern shopping centers invite passers-by to drop by and shop.
Cities like Hannover, Hamburg, Amsterdam or Berlin are within easy reach by car or train. Osnabrück is situated at the intersection of important junctions running from north to south and east to west (A1, A30 motorways). Münster-Osnabrück airport is only a half an hour drive away.
In Osnabrück the most popular means of transportation is the bike. But the city also has a well developed public transport network. The charming surroundings of Osnabrück are well worth a trip.
