The academic exchange between the Institute of Romance Studies and the Département d’Études Germaniques at the Université d’Angers builds on the long-standing partnership between the two universities and cities.
“Especially at a time when the conditions for learning foreign languages are becoming more difficult, such an exchange creates real added value for the students. We want to combine theoretical learning with a genuine human experience on the ground,” says organizer Pierre Calba from the Institute of Romance Studies.
During their stay, the French guests were primarily hosted by students of Romance Studies. In addition to German-French tandem workshops and seminars in German studies, the program included a reception at City Hall with the Ambassador of Angers, a literary evening at the Ledenhof, and a city tour. A return visit by Osnabrück students to Angers is planned for June 2027.
