Several bands are performing at the Blue Note

University Jazz Night

Groovy sounds at the University Jazz Night at the Blue Note on Saturday, July 4: Various student groups, bands, and ensembles from the University of Osnabrück promise a varied evening. 

Twice a year, various bands come together for the University Jazz Night. On Saturday, July 4, 2026, the percussion ensemble Drum Experience, led by Herrmann Helming; the sextet There They Step, led by Joachim Raffel; and the Straight Ahead Combo, led by Max Westkemper, will perform at the Blue Note on Erich-Maria-Remarque-Ring in Osnabrück. The student bands SIXFIVESIX and Funkstelle will also be performing. 

The event begins at 7:30 p.m. Admission is free.

Mehrere Musiker:innen spielen Trompeten in einem Ensemble. Das Bild zeigt die glänzenden Metallinstrumente, die in einer Reihe gehalten werden, während die Musiker:innen schwarze Kleidung tragen. Performance by the Chamber Choir

The University Chamber Choir will perform on Thursday, July 16, under the direction of Joachim Siegel at the Kleine Kirche am Dom in Osnabrück. The concert begins at 8 p.m. Admission is free.

52 Doctoral Graduates Honored in the Castle Auditorium and City Hall

It was a solemn tribute that they had truly earned after years of hard work and dedication: On Friday, July 3, 52 doctoral graduates from the university, along with their family members and friends, were invited to the graduation ceremony in the Schlossaula and the Friedenssaal at City Hall.

University Choir Performs at the University of Osnabrück's Botanical Garden

The University of Osnabrück’s Unipop Choir, conducted by Aaron Bredemeier, will perform jazz, rock, and pop songs on socially relevant topics on Sunday, July 5, 2026, at the Botanical Garden.
