Concert Celebrating the 100th Anniversary of the “Green Fingers”

University Choir Performs at the University of Osnabrück's Botanical Garden

The University of Osnabrück’s Unipop Choir, conducted by Aaron Bredemeier, will perform jazz, rock, and pop songs on socially relevant topics on Sunday, July 5, 2026, at the Botanical Garden. 

Under the motto “Nature. Culture. Future,” the City of Osnabrück’s Cultural Project Office has called for a “Kulturextra” event to mark the 100th anniversary of the Green Fingers. In addition to the green outskirts in the Osnabrück area, the city’s “Green Fingers” also include the Botanical Garden of the University of Osnabrück.  

The Unipop Choir and special guests will perform twice on July 5: once at 5:00 p.m. in the Botanical Garden’s amphitheater and once at 7:30 p.m. in the Helikoniensaal. In case of inclement weather, the 5:00 p.m. concert will also take place in the Helikoniensaal. If the weather is good, additional tickets for the 5:00 p.m. performance will be available at the box office. Regular admission is 7.50 euros; admission is free for students.

Performance by the Chamber Choir

The University Chamber Choir will perform on Thursday, July 16, under the direction of Joachim Siegel at the Kleine Kirche am Dom in Osnabrück. The concert begins at 8 p.m. Admission is free.

Mehrere Musiker:innen spielen Trompeten in einem Ensemble. Das Bild zeigt die glänzenden Metallinstrumente, die in einer Reihe gehalten werden, während die Musiker:innen schwarze Kleidung tragen.
