Welcoming Ceremony for our first semester students
Around 3,600 freshmen will start their studies at Osnabrück University in the winter semester! A highlight of this year's orientation week is once again the big welcome event for freshmen on Wednesday, October 11, 2023 from 9:30am to 1pm at the OsnabrückHalle. At around 80 information booths, first-year students can get a colorful overview of the university and life in Osnabrück and the region. In addition to tips on financing their studies, first-year students will also gain an insight into the services offered by the Center for University Sports and the university's counseling services, as well as an overview of the student initiatives at the university, the cultural offerings of the city and the district, and the Osnabrück pub scene.
At the official welcome, the University's Presidential Board, the Mayor of the City of Osnabrück Katharina Pötter and the Student Government extend a warm welcome to the first-year students.
