Welcoming Ceremony for our first semester students

The official welcome ceremony for Osnabrück University freshmen will take place on Wednesday, October 23, 2024 at the OsnabrückHalle.
Every winter semester, around 3,600 first-year students start their studies at the University of Osnabrück. A highlight of the introductory week is always the big welcome event for first-year students in the OsnabrückHalle.
At around 80 information booths, they get a colorful overview of the university and life in Osnabrück and the region. In addition to tips on financing their studies, the first-year students were also gain an insight into the services offered by the Center for University Sports and the university's counseling services, as well as an overview of the student initiatives at the university, the cultural offerings of the city and the district, and the Osnabrück pub scene.

At the official welcome, the University's Presidential Board, the Mayor of the City of Osnabrück Katharina Pötter, and the Student Government extended a warm welcome to all first-year students.
