Applications and admissions for exchange students
Deadlines for application
for the following winter semester (beginning in October)
for the following summer semester (beginning in April)
Here you can find more information about application for accommodation in one of our student dorms.
Unlike regular international applicants, exchange students from partner universities do not have to take a German language test, nor do they require a valid qualification for admission to higher education in Germany.
Exchange students are simply nominated for a study period at Osnabrück University by their home university and can then apply for studies at Osnabrück University.
As soon as you have been nominated for an exchange programme, please send the following documents to the International Office in order to officially apply as an exchange student:
- printed online application (pdf form)
Please note: When you log into the online application for the first time, you will have to register with your name, e-mail address and a password that you can create yourself. Afterwards you can then log in with your e-mail address and password.
- passport photograph
- copy of your identity document (passport or identity card)
- transcript of records
Address to which your printed application documents must be sent:
Neuer Graben 27
Please note that we can only accept your application once we have received your online AND paper application!
Please do not apply with a hotmail / outlook / live e-mail address!
Currently it is unfortunately not possible for us to send e-mails to these addresses.
Due to the COVID 19-situation uni-assist accepts applications for the winter semester 2020/2021 online only. No postal documents are required!
As soon as the International Office has received and processed your application, you will receive a letter of admission by post (which you need to apply for a visa, if you require a visa to enter Germany), together with further information concerning your stay in Osnabrück.
