When is the Campuscard valid from?

In order to be able to use your Campuscard as a student ID card and semester ticket in the summer semester, you must validate your card at the validation points at the Student Service Center or Westerberg library after having reregistered successfully (semester fee transferred). What are the advantages of the Campuscard?

With the Campuscard, you only need one card to pay at canteens and libraries without cash. The Campuscard also acts as a library card and as a print and copy card, meaning that no additional cards are required. Since the card contains your photo, you will no longer have to show any additional form of identity when using the semester ticket. In other words, the Campuscard combines all of the functions you need in your everyday university life.

How can I upload money onto my Campuscard?

Machines are available at the canteens and libraries for uploading money onto your Campuscard by paying in cash or by paying by EC card. For safety reasons, the maximum amount that can be uploaded is limited to € 75 per card.

How can I activate my Campuscard as a library card?

In order to use the Campuscard as a library card, it must be activated before it can be used for the first time. This can be performed at any of the University’s four departmental libraries. A fee of € 5.00 is charged for the initial activation. Students who already have an old library card can activate the Campuscard without having to pay a fee. Simply show your Campuscard together with your old library card, which will be retained and destroyed.

Do I have to use a Campuscard?

The Campuscard was introduced as a student ID card and semester ticket in summer semester 2013, and must be used by all students of the University.

Important information:Please take good care of your Campuscard. Make sure that it does not get bent or damaged. If the validity stamp becomes faded during the semester, it can be revalidated to ensure continued use.
