Mentoring programs for young scholars

German version

The mentoring programs enable highly-qualified young scholars to gain individual accompaniment and support with regard to their career advancement. The programs are one of the targeted and processoriented instruments for developing young scholars and help to strengthen equal opportunities in the science system.

The PhD/Postdoc Career Center provides two mentoring programs for specific target groups alternately:

  • Mentoring program for female doctoral candidates “Career perspectives after the doctorate” (12-month)
  • Mentoring program for postdocs and junior professors “Paths to a professorship” (18-month)

The next round of the mentoring programme for female doctoral candidates commences in May 2020. If you have any questions about the new program, please contact the program coordinator Dr. Marie- Kathrin Drauschke (mentoring@uni-osnabrueck.de).

Apply now for the mentoring program for female doctoral candidates (starting May 2020)

Each program cycle is preceded by a preparatory phase comprising an obligatory preparatory workshop for mentees, the recruitment of mentors and the matching of mentoring pairs. The seminar language is German. On request, some parts of the programs could also be offered in English.
