Mentoring Program for female PhD Candidates

German version

The PhD/Postdoc Career Center provides two mentoring programs for female PhD candidates and postdocs, alternately. The mentoring program for female doctoral candidates 2023 was completed in December. The next program for this target group will start in mid-2025.

Mentoring program for female doctoral students "Career prospects after the doctorate"

The twelve-month mentoring program is directed at all female doctoral students at Osnabrück University who are aiming for a professorship or who are in the orientation phase with a view to their professional career within or outside academia after completing their doctorate. First-generation students, i.e., persons whose parents have not studied, are particularly invited to apply.

Through personal advisory relationships with experienced mentors, supportive cooperation in the group of mentees, a seminar program tailored to the requirements of the qualification phase and the development of the professional career of the mentees, as well as various networking activities, the program offers female doctoral students individual support in their career and personality development.

The official start of the program is preceded by a preparatory phase, which includes a preparatory workshop, informal meetings to get to know each other, and the acquisition of mentors.
