Internships

All art and art education degree programs at the University of Osnabrück require students to complete mandatory internships. The number of internships and the areas in which they are to be completed vary depending on the focus of the respective degree program.

Subject-specific extracurricular internships must be arranged in advance with the relevant faculty members and the internship host organization. Only then can the internship be officially recognized. Students must find their own internship placement. The internship can be completed at any time during the course of study. Certificates can be found among the  department’s form templates.

Teacher-training-related internships are organized by the University’s Center for Teacher Education (ZLB). Specific deadlines apply for these and must be adhered to. Please check with the ZLB in advance.
In addition, for the General School Internship (ASP) in the Bachelor’s program, the Basic Subject Practicum (BFP) in the Master’s program in Teaching at Gymnasien, or the Practical Phase (PPh) in the GHR 300/Master’s program in Teaching at Elementary, Haupt, and Realschulen, preparatory, accompanying, and follow-up courses are mandatory. Be sure to plan these into your course of study well in advance and pay attention to the deadlines in Stud.IP.
