CHE Ranking 2026: The School of Law stands out for offering the best study conditions!

The School of Law at Osnabrück University is once again among the best places to study in Germany: In the latest  CHE Ranking 2026, the school ranks in the top tier in 13 out of 14 categories. The result in the main category “Overall Study Environment” is particularly encouraging: With 4.6 out of 5 stars, the school has once again improved significantly compared to the previous ranking. After placing third in 2023, Osnabrück University now shares first place among Germany’s top public universities.

The areas of particular importance to first-year students also received outstanding ratings. In the “Support at the Start of Studies” category, Osnabrück achieved the third-best result among all law schools nationwide with 12 points. “Exam Preparation” also received an excellent rating with 7 out of 8 possible points.

The CHE ranking does not provide a direct overall ranking of universities. However, when considering the results across all categories, Osnabrück University ranks among the top destinations for studying law in Germany.
