OsnaLex Research Club

Is the first state examination before the second state examination?

Precisely because legal training is very practice-oriented due to the preparation for the First State Examination in Law, many students plan to start their legal clerkship immediately after graduation. A good alternative for good graduates is to continue the academic training they have started with their chosen specialization and work on research projects. For students who want to keep this option open, the Research Club offers early insights into university research

What is the OsnaLex Research Club?

  • We inspire young talents to work in research and teaching at an early stage.
  • We arouse your interest in a later scientific activity, be it in projects or as part of a Doctorate.
  • You will learn how to plan and carry out your own research project with a Doctorate.

Why is it worth applying?

  • As a member, you can take part in events for doctoral candidates during the examination phase and gain initial insights
  • First-hand information about requirements and the doctoral process
  • Invitation to the Faculty Doctoral Candidates' Day
  • Participation in doctoral workshops
  • Invitation to the ELSI Research Forum
  • Free participation in other lecture events (TaxOS, CIRCLE, CUR)
  • Free membership of OsnaLex for 3 years
  • Contact with doctoral students and professors

How can you apply?

Application requirements:

  • You have successfully completed the state part of the First State Examination in Law or the specialization area with at least a fully satisfactory grade
  • You would like to actively pursue faculty life during the examination phase
  • You would like to gain initial insights into university research by participating in lectures, workshops and discussions

Please apply by the beginning of each semester with your CV, transcript of records and a brief explanation of what motivates you to participate. We will invite you to a selection interview!
