Supplementary Certificate in Business
Whether as a lawyer in a commercial law firm, an in-house counsel, or a judge in a commercial criminal division—a basic understanding of Business Administration and Economics is a prerequisite in many legal professions. An interdisciplinary perspective that looks beyond the legal “boundaries” also broadens one’s horizons and opens up new perspectives for academic study and research.
Students in the School of Law therefore have the opportunity to earn the supplementary certificate in Economics by successfully completing three courses of their choice from the course offerings.
With this certificate, you can demonstrate that you possess economic knowledge that is becoming increasingly important even for the “traditional” legal professions (judges, prosecutors, attorneys, notaries, and public administration).
The supplementary certificate is administered by the Chair of Civil Law, Business Law, Media Law, Data and Digitalization Law ( Prof. Dr. Jan Oster).
