The diversity of the plant world is evident not only in the botanical garden but also on the Westerberg campus: cherry trees and sweet chestnuts, giant sequoias and gingerbread trees, to name just a few of the many species of trees and shrubs.
Numerous university and college buildings adorn the Westerberg, each with its own unique charm and history. Historic and modern structures blend harmoniously, and together with their green spaces, they create a special setting for science and research at the University of Osnabrück.
I’d like to give you a closer look at the campus’s development during our walk. Naturally, the focus will be on the green spaces.
