Awards for the best master theses go to Julia Seimert and Melanie Trupp

This year, once again two former Master's students from the Biology department at Osnabrück University were honoured for their final theses. We warmly congratulate both award winners!

Melanie Trupp received the award in the category ‘organism-oriented work’ for her Master's thesis entitled: ‘Comparative analyses of NPR homologs in land plants’. She completed this thesis under the supervision of Prof. Dr. Sabine Zachgo in the Botany division.

Julia Seimert received the award in the category ‘biochemical-molecular biology-oriented work’ for her Master's thesis entitled: ‘Determining the cargo spectrum of yeast SNX-BAR sorting complexes by vacuolar proteomics’. She completed this thesis under the supervision of Prof. Dr. Florian Fröhlich in the Bioanalytical Chemistry division..

The Master's thesis awards are organised by Prof. Dr. Christian Ungermann. Biology lecturers at Osnabrück University are invited to nominate excellent Master's theses that they have supervised. A jury selects the best thesis in the molecular spectrum and the best thesis in the organismic spectrum of biology from the nominations.
