Molecular mechanisms of ceramide biosynthesis: Florian Fröhlich receives funding from the Boehringer Ingelheim Foundation

How do human cells produce fat molecules and how is this production regulated in cells? This is the subject of a new research project of the Bioanalytical Chemistry division, which was launched on April 1.

Under the motto “broaden your network and horizon”, the 12th “Women in Science” symposium took place in Osnabrück on March 5 and 6. The conference was organised by Prof. Dr. Kerstin Bartscherer, Dr. Lena Tveriakhina and Prof. Dr. Bin Qu.

With its state-of-the-art imaging infrastructure, the CellNanOs offers unique opportunities to both researchers and students at Osnabrück University. Now, the Minister President of Lower Saxony was able to see this for himself during a guided tour.

At the beginning of 2026, a project was launched that focuses on the important contributions of botanical species conservation to natural climate protection. One of the project partners is the Botanical Garden at Osnabrück University.
