The Integrated Research Training Group of the Collaborative Research Centre 1557 "Functional Plasticity Encoded by Cellular Membrane Networks" and the DFG Research Training Group 2900 "nanomaterials@biomembranes" offer doctoral students a wide range of opportunities for further education and networking.

We currently offer the doctoral program "Nanosciences" with a standard duration of six semesters. This program provides in-depth specialist knowledge and methodological skills for independent scientific work in the field of nanosciences at the interface of Biology, Chemistry and Physics. In addition to specialising in your chosen field, you will also have the opportunity to explore other areas of research.

The  PhD/Postdoc Career Center ZePrOs supports doctoral students and postdocs in their academic and interdisciplinary qualification and in shaping academic as well as non-academic careers by providing consulting, qualification, networking and mentoring services.

 Prof. Dr. Achim Paululat is the contact person for conflicts relating to doctoral studies in the School of Biology / Chemistry. In addition, the members of the Dean's Office are available as further contact persons.
