Please use our application form when you apply for credit transfer for examinations you have taken abroad:
 Anrechnungsformular auf Deutsch (PDF, 138 kB)
 Application form for credit transfer in English (PDF, 137 kB)

The list of documents to be submitted can be found on page 1 of the application form. These include in particular

  • Certificate from the foreign university (transcript of records);
  • Grading scale of the foreign university (often to be found on the back of the certificate);
  • Learning Agreement (mandatory for Erasmus, otherwise: if available);
  • Detailed course descriptions including table of contents or outline, information on the scope of the course and the type of examination;
  • Confirmation of eligibility for credit transfer from the responsible persons at the School of Business Administration and Economics (mandatory for credit transfer from abroad; otherwise: if available);
  • further documents if necessary.

Please send the completed form with all required documents scanned by e-mail to the examinations office  pruefamtfb9@uni-osnabrueck.de.

From the list above you can see, among other things, that you must attach to your application form the confirmations of eligibility for credit transfer for all courses applied for. As a rule, students take care of the assessment of the eligibility of the courses they want to take abroad long before the start of their semester abroad (approx. 6-12 months). The form for confirming eligibility for credit transfer as well as details of the responsible contact persons depending on the content of the courses can be found  on the study abroad pages. More detailed confirmations are usually required for credits from Germany.

The School of Business Administration and Economics has adopted detailed  recognition guidelines (PDF, 125 kB).

The application for recognition of study and examination achievements from Germany must also be accompanied by a current transcript of records from the responsible examinations office at the "old" university. This transcript of records must show that a Bachelor's examination, a Master's examination, a Diplom examination, an intermediate Teacher Education or Magister examination or a comparable examination in a Business Administration and Economics degree program has not been definitively failed and/or the right to take the examination has not been lost.

If an examination is credited, the grades obtained abroad are converted. The Examination Board carries out the conversion using  conversion tables (PDF, 94 kB). The Examination Board of the School of Business Administration and Economics reserves the right to review the conversion tables at irregular intervals and to change them if necessary.
