Introductory events
At the beginning of each semester, we offer an introductory week for our first semester students. Here you will receive information about your degree program, explore the university and the city of Osnabrück, get to know important contacts in your studies and, of course, your fellow students. With the support of the student council, you will create your first timetable, get to know our learning management system Stud.IP and the HISinOne study organization portal, find out where to register for exams and find the right books in the library.
Start of studies in the winter semester
In October of each year, introductory events are held for all first-year students starting their studies at our schools in the winter semester. You can view the program for the last introductory week in the winter semester 2025/26 here.
Start of studies in the summer semester
We also offer introductory events for first-semester students on our Master's degree programs in Business Administration, Economics and Information Systems in the week before the start of lectures. The program will be published here in due course.
Offers for international students
The International Office of Osnabrück University offers additional events for international degree-seeking students and international exchange students, which we will of course take into account when planning your induction week. Among other things, you will receive support in dealing with various formalities and have space for cultural exchange!
