Minor in Business Administration and Economics in the dual-subject Bachelor's program
The minor subject Business Administration and Economics (WiWi) must be studied in combination with a major subject. The following major subjects are available: biology, chemistry, Protestant theology/religion, geography, art/art education, mathematics and physics.

Structure of the study program
The minor in Economics comprises a total of 42 credit points (CP).
In the compulsory area, the focus is on courses in accounting (commercial bookkeeping and annual financial statements as well as cost and performance accounting) and microeconomics (with topics such as consumer theory, technology and production, welfare, introduction to game theory) (25 CP).
The course in microeconomics (WIWI-01006 Foundations of Microeconomics) is taught in English, so that students have the opportunity to improve their English language skills, which will be very important in their professional life.
In the elective area, basic courses from marketing, organization, corporate management, decision-making and planning, finance, macroeconomics, economic and financial policy and econometrics must be taken for 15 CP.
As part of the WiWi minor subject, a small term paper (2 CP) must be written. The term paper is graded. The exact completion time is determined by the responsible lecturer. The term paper must be written in either Business Administration or Economics and Methods.

For the first contact, please contact the team assistant of the respective subject area. If it is not possible for your first desired subject area to supervise your term paper in the semester you have requested, please contact another subject area. Please state explicitly that it is a term paper in the minor subject of Economics in order to avoid misunderstandings from the outset: There are also term papers in the core subject of economics. These have a somewhat larger scope (3 and 4 CP). If you have difficulties obtaining approval for the supervision of your term paper, please contact the Student Advisory Service at the School of Business Administration and Economics.
At the beginning of your studies, you should take a close look at the examination regulations applicable to your degree program. The examination regulations contain legally binding regulations on the timing, content and organization of the respective degree course. These include information on course content (compulsory and compulsory elective modules) and examinations (requirements, repeatability, free attempt).

You also have the opportunity to integrate a semester abroad into your studies in the dual-subject Bachelor's program. With appropriate planning, a semester abroad is also possible without extending your study time.

Within the scope of your minor subject, you have the opportunity to have study and examination achievements recognized upon application to a defined extent and under certain conditions. Special regulations apply to coursework and examinations from module examinations at the School of Business Administration and Economics at Osnabrück University in accordance with Section 10 (2) of the PO subject-specific part of the minor subject WiWi: These are credited ex officio, including failed attempts. Upon application, you can waive the crediting of (selected) modules that are provided for in the compulsory elective area according to these examination regulations.
