Content:
To run a PhD smoothly a dissertation proposal (a “small” research proposal) is helpful. It serves as project schedule to manage the PhD projects being a small and in most cases the first research project of early stage researchers. The dis-sertation proposal refines research objectives and the working plan setting internal deadlines for reaching interim results, thus cutting the dissertation research project into manageable pieces in reasonable periods. Often a dissertation proposal is required to apply for a scholarship but it is helpful in any case to run the first own research project.
In this workshop the basics of dissertation proposals are presented by working with examples and exercises.
