Workshop on the Research Project "The Production of Gendered Migration Policies"

Joint event organised by SFB Project B3 and the Centre for the Study of Labour and Mobility (CESLAM) in Kathmandu

Helen Schwenken and Lekh Nath Paudel present the 'Production of Gendered Migration Policies' project ( B3) and discuss it with various experts and stakeholders. The project examines the institutions, discourses and practices that shape migration governance in Nepal and India, paying particular attention to their gendered dimensions. Participants will share their insights and reflections on issues related to safe migration, gender and migration, and relevant policies, including both restrictive and enabling measures. They will also discuss ongoing initiatives and recommendations for policy reform.
