The Collaborative Research Centre "Production of Migration" (SFB 1604)
›Production Site‹ – The Podcast About the Societal Negotiation of Migration
In this bonus episode, we take a closer look at the Collaborative Research Centre “Production of Migration" (SFB 1604). What exactly is a Collaborative Research Centre? What does “Production of Migration” mean, and what is “reflexive migration research”? How is this Collaborative Research Centre structured, and why do we refer to it as SFB 1604? And finally: What does all of this have to do with the public debates on migration? Feline Engling Cardoso and Vera Hanewinkel, science communicators at the Institute for Migration Research and Intercultural Studies (IMIS), guide us through this episode. They’ve gathered insights from various researchers working within this Collaborative Research Centre, who explain the meaning behind the terms and concepts the SFB 1604 uses.
