Prerequisites: Introduction to Neurobiology & Cognitive Psychology

This seminar will introduce how functional magentic resonance tomography is applied in cognitive neuroscience. It starts with an overview on technical issues and discusses current state of the art technological advances (e.g. high resolution scanning). Principles of experimental design will be introduced. Preprocessing of fMRI data and GLM analysis will be introduced and put into practice with example data. Finally more advanced data analysis approaches will be discussed such as connectivity analyses and multivariate pattern classification.
