In this course we will deal with morphology, the linguistic study of words, their internal structure and how they are formed.
We will describe and analyse different types of morphological processes such as inflection, derivation and compounding and study the relation of morphology to other levels of linguistic description, e.g. phonology, lexicon and syntax.

This seminar is designed for 4LP students only. Students who need to complete 2LP for the V2 module may register for the lecture "Language Variation and Change". Only under certain circumstances, such as a particular interest in the topic or a provable scheduling conflict, you may approach me about completing this class for 2LP.
