The conference will bring together migration scholars from Germany and Canada to discuss findings as well as methodological and conceptual issues associated with research on young (forced) migrants and their families. The event will cover topics such as educational biographies in the migration process and integration of newcomers in school systems; the influence of household conditions, family constellations, and local environments on integration processes; refugee-oriented policies; and methods-oriented review of empirical literature in the field.
