The kick-off event of the Joint Lab Artificial Intelligence & Data Science took place on October 12 and 13 in Osnabrück. The program was a successful mix of informative lectures, group work and plenty of opportunity for exchange.
Representatives from the participating universities, the ATB, the DFKI Laboratory Lower Saxony, the MWK and invited guests gathered at the Coppenrath Innovation Centre for the official kick-off on October 12 for a program of specialist presentations. Both the speakers and the newly opened event room were very popular with all the guests.
The kick-off event was followed by an internal workshop with the Potsdam and Osnabrück members of the Joint Lab on September 13. The focus was on intensifying collaboration, particularly with regard to future joint projects.
For most of the doctoral students, it was the first time that they were able to get to know many of the members from both locations. The personal exchange during the group work as well as the cozy coffee and meal breaks was an excellent support for the good and productive collaboration.
