NGHM Migration Research Navigator

MigFo-Navigator: Migration research in Germany

The MigFo-Navigator - A digital orientation guide for students and researchers (prototype)

To the app:  MigFo-Navigator

  • The MigFo-Navigator is a prototype web application that helps students, early career researchers and researchers to find their way around the field of migration research at German universities and research institutions.
  • We are making the web app available for testing purposes for a limited time and welcome feedback.
  • We have developed the app as a prototype to facilitate the search for institutes, professorships and research institutions in the field of migration research as well as for professors and their contact information.
  • The criterion for inclusion in the data set was a corresponding denomination of a professorship or corresponding markers in an institute name. Of course, many more academics conduct research in this field, for example at IMIS.
  • All information comes from the public websites of the universities and research institutions. We cannot guarantee that the information is up-to-date or accurate. This is an experimental tool.

To the app:  MigFo-Navigator

The web app offers the following options:
  • Institute search: Quickly find research institutions in the field of migration research.
  • Search for professorships: Locate professorships in the field of migration research (denomination).
  • Contact information: E-mail addresses, telephone numbers and other contact details.
  • Profile links: Direct links to the profiles of institutes and individuals.
Data basis and up-to-dateness
  • All information provided in the app is based on publicly available university data. The data is updated regularly, but appointments, contact details and other information may change.
  • Please note: The app is operated independently of the universities. No guarantee can be given for the accuracy, completeness and up-to-dateness of the information provided. In case of doubt or important matters, please consult the official websites of the respective universities directly.
