Prof. Dr. Detlef Peter Aufderheide - Osnabrück University - Banking and Finance - Staff details

Prof. Dr. habil. Detlef Aufderheide is Professor of Business Ethics and Strategic Management at the School of International Business, Bremen University of Applied Sciences.

Previously, he was the founding holder of the Dr. Jürgen Meyer Endowed Chair of International Business Ethics at HSBA Hamburg School of Business Administration.

After studying economics, Professor Aufderheide completed his doctorate under Prof. Dr. Dr. h.c. Jochen Schumann at the University of Münster on a topic related to business and corporate ethics. The thesis was awarded the dissertation prize of the University of Münster.

He later accepted an invitation to do research at the Center for Study of Public Choice in Fairfax, Virginia (USA) with Prof. James M. Buchanan.

Professor Aufderheide is the author, co-author and (co-)editor of numerous publications on economic and business ethics as well as on new institutional economics and regulatory policy.
