Outlook
  1. Two talks with legal focus

We are very much looking forward to both events:
April 11, 2pm: "Overview of the legal framework for data/AI" by Prof. Mary-Rose McGuire and Prof. Hans Schulte-Nölke
April 25, 2 pm: "Overview of patent law" by Mr Jason Tenta

For those who will not be able to join us in our new office place please find the online access to the PhD seminar meetings here:

  2. Joint Lab retreat on April 29-30 in Osnabrück

The program is currently being planned. We want to offer plenty of opportunities for exchange and provide new input. Stay tuned!

Recent activities
  1. End of January we finally moved to the Coppenrath Innovation Center! This is our address:
    Hamburger Straße 24, LOK 13 - 16, upper floor

We enjoy being here - it offers a good working atmosphere. We invite everyone to visit us here. Everyone can get a working place here and enjoy the working ambience!

  2. Neighborhood activities

In March we organized with all neighbors (Agrotech Valley Forum, Nature Robots, and DFKI) a joint breakfast meeting where we learned about the work of the others and presented the Joint Lab research, too.

Further, we hosted the team of Nature Robots  https://naturerobots.com/en/ in our PhD seminar. It was a good opportunity to get an insight into the world of start-ups and how challenges in the agricultural sector are overcome

  3. Participation at the GIL Tagung

The Joint Lab presented themselves at the GIL Tagung in Hohenheim. All projects and research areas presented posters. It was a valuable opportunity to gain first experience with poster presentations and to make the Joint Lab known within the community

  4. Feedback meetings

We have just performed the first feedback meetings where the PhDs who started by September 2023 presented the status of their projects to a committee. All projects are well underway and the committees have been able to contribute to minimizing risks. The remaining 4 projects will be evaluated in May.
