Information for students
Thesis places are allocated twice a year via HISinOne. You can find access to HISinOne via the quicklinks.
The department offers a colloquium for theses. If you have been offered a place for a Bachelor's or Master's thesis at our department, please register for our thesis colloquium in Stud.IP. There you will also find general information on writing academic theses.
In a first colloquium appointment, you can talk to your supervisor about possible topics and the desired completion period. You can determine the time of the topic assignment yourself within the registered semester. The specific topic will then be agreed immediately before your desired date. Your supervisor will be your point of contact for any queries regarding the assignment of topics and the design of your thesis.
We would be delighted if students on Dual-Subject Bachelor's degree programs would like to complete their specialization in the field of finance. The specialization usually takes the form of a term paper of 12 - 15 pages and is particularly suitable for students who have completed or are currently taking the module Finance B I (State and Allocation and Tax Theory and Policy) in the winter semester. According to the examination regulations for the dual-subject Bachelor, the workload for the term paper is four weeks. In accordance with the submission regulations for Bachelor's theses, the deadline between the issue of the topic and submission of the thesis is five weeks. You are free to choose when you submit your topic. If you would like to discuss or receive a topic, please come to Mr. Gaube's office hours by appointment.
Please contact the Examinations Office of the School of Business Administration and Economics if you would like to have coursework or examinations from Germany or abroad recognized.
