  • The course can be taken as a compulsory elective module from the area Seminar M I with 5 ECTS.

Content & Objectives

In this course, you will deal with the theoretical and practical issues surrounding the valuation of companies on the basis of a case study. In the first part of the course, the basic methods of company valuation (in particular the DCF method) are presented and the individual valuation components and steps of the valuation are explained and discussed in detail. Building on this basic knowledge, participants will work on a case study on company valuation and prepare a valuation report.

Examination performance & requirements

  • Preparation of a valuation report
  • Presentation of the report in the seminar
  • Active participation during all sessions

Scope

  • The course is divided into blocks.
  • The first blocks serve to develop the basics, the later blocks to present the case studies.
  • Attendance is compulsory for the entire duration of the course.

  • Participation limited to 24 participants
