Andrea Bührmann is a Professor of Sociology and founding Director of the Göttingen Diversity Research Institute, University of Göttingen. For several years, she has supported various national and international businesses, universities, and municipalities in conceptualising, implementing, and evaluating diversity strategies. Her research focuses on the sociology of diversity and gender relations, economic sociology, the methods of qualitative empirical social research and the transformation of knowledge production and consultancy.
