Paul Mecheril is a Professor of Education with a focus on migration at the University of Bielefeld. He is a scholar of migration pedagogy and interpretive educational research, focusing on questions of difference, inequality, belonging, and power in educational and migration contexts. His work examines professional action structures, moral reflection, subjectivity, culture, and social-theoretical aspects of understanding. He employs an interpretive and reconstructive research paradigm in his empirical work.
