Final theses
Allocation of thesis positions (HISinOne)
Thesis places are allocated twice a year via HISinOne. You can also find access to HISinOne via the quicklinks.
The department offers a colloquium for theses. If you have received a place for a Bachelor's or Master's thesis at our department, please register for our thesis colloquium in Stud.IP. There you will also find general information on writing academic theses.
At the beginning of each semester, we present the topics for Bachelor's theses and provide information on how to write academic papers at our department. The most important information can be downloaded from Stud.IP.
For Master's theses, please note the following criteria for awarding Master's theses.
Procedure for awarding Master's theses in the field of marketing
Criteria for selection:
- Quality of a project description (one DIN A4 page) on a topic agreed with us in advance.
- Successful attendance of the course "Marketing MI"
- Average grade achieved so far in the Master's program.
These are not KO criteria. Even if you do not submit a project description or have not successfully attended "Marketing MI", your application will be included in the selection process.
Award procedure:
- Discuss a possible topic area with us. Submit a one-page project description on this topic by the end of the application deadline (no later than two days after). It should be clear from this description exactly which aspects of the topic you would like to deal with and how you would like to proceed. In the case of a topic that is written in collaboration with a company, it should also be clear what support the company offers and what requirements it places on the work.
- If you have indicated marketing as your first preference, please send a transcript of records (excerpt from HISinOne in pdf format) to Mr. Dominik Schröder (dominik.schroeder@uni-osnabrueck.de) as soon as possible (no later than two days after the application deadline). Transcripts of records from applicants with second or third preference will be requested if necessary.
Finding topics:
The Department of Marketing can suggest topics. Students can also submit their own suggestions. It is possible to write a thesis in connection with the student's work in a company. The staff of the department will decide whether the topic is suitable and, if so, how it should be narrowed down.
