Digital Assistents? Knowledge, Opinions and Experiences of future teachers regarding the use of AI-Tools to plan lessons
Since the release of ChatGPT by OpenAI in 2022, generative AI tools, especially LLMs (Large Language Models), have received widespread use and public attention. Recently, generative AI tools developed specifically for lesson planning have entered the market, promising rapid support in planning history lessons. These tools also play an increasingly important role in teacher training. In this project, we want to use a questionnaire developed for this purpose to find out about the prior knowledge, experiences and attitudes of future teachers with regard to these tools. Furthermore, the AI-Tools are to be used for the practical planning of history lessons in order to subsequently analyze the quality and reliability of such applications and to address legal, ecological and ethical issues in this context. This will provide information on the needs of future history teachers regarding the use of AI and develop suggestions for history didactic research and teaching.
