Science Communication

IMIS prepares and makes expertise and findings from migration research available to the non-academic public. This is achieved in collaboration with the Bundeszentrale für politische Bildung (bpb, Federal Agency for Civic Education:  Focus Migration), through initiatives such as panel discussions and film screenings, as well as via the Institute's social media channels. IMIS members are in-demand guests at events, as well as being sought out by the press, radio and television for interviews and background information. We engage in dialogue with partners in the field and promote local and supraregional networking among stakeholders in migration studies.

For press or event enquiries, please email Vera Hanewinkel and her team at  imis-medien@uni-osnabrueck.de.
