The sports and educational scientist Prof. Dr. Renate Zimmer has been awarded the Golden Badge of Honor of the German Association for Sports Science (dvs) for her great services to sports science.

The Parahyangan Catholic University (UNPAR) is organizing the 11th International Student Conference (ISC) in Bandung & Jakarta, Indonesia from 26-31 January 2026. All Bachelor and Master students of Osnabrück University can apply to participate!

Welcome to Osnabrück University!

On Tuesday, October 7, 2025, around 3,500 young people embarked on a new phase of their lives with excitement, anticipation and perhaps a little trepidation: they will begin their studies at Osnabrück University in the winter semester 2025/26.

Social Equity

Helping to Shape the University

Students and staff shape the university and the campus: through participation in university and student committees, through various initiatives and through active environmental protection!

Language Courses

The international team at the Language Center offers not only language courses and academic foreign language teaching, but also valuable intercultural insights. International students of all disciplines can find information on the teaching area "German as a foreign language"!

University Sports

Playing sports, fitness courses, outdoor, health, martial arts and water sports or dancing - there's something for everyone! At the University Sports Center you can discover new sports, improve your fitness or relax!

Student Center

You can work and meet here: The student center on the city center campus is centrally located in the triangle of the castle, canteen and extension building. There are various types of workstations, group rooms, a multifunctional room and much more on four floors!

University Library

The University Library offers you a comprehensive range of analog and digital publications and more than 1,600 workstations at its various locations. The library team also provides information and advice on the publication of research results!

University Archive

The University Archive is closely linked to the Osnabrück University of Applied Sciences Archive and the Lower Saxony State Archive (Osnabrück Department). The archive material is available for research by academics, students and anyone interested in history.
