Renowned Canadian Humboldt Award winner arrives

Dr. Oliver Schmidtke, Professor at the University of Victoria and winner of this year's Humboldt Research Award, will be conducting research for twelve months at the Institute for Migration Research and Intercultural Studies (IMIS) and in the Collaborative Research Centre 1604.

New member of the SVR Expert Council

Prof. Dr. Dr. Rauf Ceylan from Osnabrück University has been appointed to the Expert Council on Integration and Migration (SVR). The sociologist and religious educator has been Professor of Contemporary Islamic Studies at the IIT since 2009.
