Software access / registration form
- Access to the OMERO server is available to both members of Osnabrück University and non-university members.
- OMERO.web is usable from anywhere - whether you are at home, in the office or on the road. The OMERO desktop clients only work in the Biology network - either accessible via a network cable (LAN) or via VPN.
- New users must register for a user account using the registration form. The account created does not belong to a specific department or research group. Department heads or research group leaders can assign users to their OMERO groups to enable data sharing.
- The access data (user name and password) are the same as for StudIP. The user name is the LDAP identifier (e.g. xmuster).
Please install OMERO.insight (which includes OMERO.importer) on your computer as follows:
- Download the installation file under OMERO Downloads.
- Open the installation file, check the destination folder and click Next.
- In the login dialog, define the OMERO server address once:
- Click on the wrench icon.
- A list of servers you can connect to will open. By default, only ‘localhost’ is listed. Click on the plus icon and add the server ‘omero.cellnanos.uni-osnabrueck.de’ to the list.
- Click Apply.
If you encounter problems with the download or installation, try using a different browser first.
